Hooker long tube super comp headers – part # 6126HKR – application is for a 72-75 Torino

Test fit -headers before building the engine – the driver sides hits in 2 areas – steering gear box & back side of driver engine mount

Areas marked that need to be bent inward

Nothing hitting now

Transmission is mocked up – headers are too close for my liking

Transmission crossmember mocked up – headers are definitely too close inward –  header outlets dump directly in the path of the crossmember too – will need to spread them outward

 Heating the headers about 1/3 up with a torch – pushing them out & down with a 2×4

exhaust will clear crossmember now

My 21 month old daughter is hands on with this project – can’t tell you how many bolts & chalk pieces I’ve had to pull out of the frame holes…
